Sikter
Sikter is a Bosnian alternative rock band from Sarajevo. The band was formed in 1990 as a punk rock project of a few students, but became one of the most successful Bosnian rock bands. The name of the band is translated as ''Buzz Off''! From 1990 they changed line-ups many times, as well as musical styles. Their first songs were parodies of Yugoslavian pop songs. Sikter became the first band from Bosnia and Herzegovina whose video clip ''Pain In Brain'' was broadcast on MTV for several months. They recorded four albums: '' Now, Always, Never'' in 2000, '' Queen of the Disco'' in 2002, '' My Music'' in 2005 and '' Ego Trip'' in 2009. The album '' Now, Always, Never'' was produced by English musician Brian Eno. History Band Sikter was formed in spring 1990. in Sarajevo. My Music (Sikter's Album)
My Music is the third and most successful studio album by Bosnian alternative rock band Sikter. It was released on 21 August 2005 by Bosnian label Gramofon. Album was recorded from 2003 to 2005 at MML Studio in Sarajevo Sarajevo ( ; cyrl, Сарајево, ; ''see names in other languages'') is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a population of 275,524 in its administrative limits. The Sarajevo metropolitan area including Sarajevo ... and mixed at MGKS Studio in Sarajevo 2005. Cover of album was made by bassist of the band Dragan Rokvić. Sikter had great success with this album and they won "Best Music Video" award on Davorin Music Awards 2006 for music video of title song "My Music". Queen Of The Disco
''Queen of the Disco'' is the second studio album by Bosnian alternative rock band Sikter. It was released on 1 March 2002 by Bock. The album was exclusively released for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro and Croatia. It was recorded in 2001 in Sarajevo after the great success of the band's debut album, '' Now, Always, Never''. Producers of album were the front-man of the band, Enes Zlatar, and the chairman of the Bock label, Oliver Dujmović. Faris Arapović
Faris Arapović (1970 – 18 September 2019) was a Bosnian drummer. He was widely known as a drummer of Sarajevo-based rock bands Zabranjeno Pušenje and Sikter. Also, he was a founder of Sikter. Career Arapović joined a Sarajevo-based rock band Zabranjeno Pušenje in 1986, after their drummer Predrag Rakić left. As a drummer, he performed on their two studio albums: '' Pozdrav iz zemlje Safari'' (1987) and '' Male priče o velikoj ljubavi'' (1989). In early 1990, he left the band with some other members. In 1990, Arapović founded Sarajevo-based alternative rock band Sikter. Arapović performed on their first two studio albums: '' Now, Always, Never'' (2000) and ''Queen of the Disco'' (2002). In 2003, he parted ways with the band. Arapović died on 18 September 2019. Ego Trip (Sikter's Album)
Ego Trip is the fourth studio album by Bosnian alternative rock band Sikter. It was released on 2 June 2009 by one of the biggest music labels in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hayat Production. Recording of the album began in 2006 and lasted until 2009 at MML Studio in Sarajevo. Producers of album were front-man of the band Enes Zlatar and the drummer of Bosnian band Letu Štuke, Đani Pervan. After a few years of experimenting with many genres, this album was alternative rock oriented with elements of funk and soul. Gramofon is a record label and event agency founded in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2003. It's the biggest music label of alternative music in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Now, Always, Never is the debut studio album by Bosnian alternative rock band Sikter. It was released on 21 November 2000 by Fis club Bock in Bosnia and Herzegovina and The Orchard in Europe and the United States. Album was recorded during the summer 1998 in Pavarotti Music Centre, Mostar. Producers of album were frontman of the band Enes Zlatar, Austrian engineer Dietz Tinhof and English musician Brian Eno. U2 Concert In Sarajevo
On 23 September 1997, the Irish rock band U2 held a concert at Koševo Stadium in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the group's PopMart Tour. They were the first major artist to hold a concert in the city after the end of the Bosnian War. Approximately 45,000 fans attended the show. The band first became involved with Sarajevo in 1993 on their Zoo TV Tour; approached by aid worker Bill Carter about bringing attention to the siege of Sarajevo, the band conducted nightly satellite transmissions with Bosnians during their shows. These link-ups were the subject of criticism from journalists for mixing entertainment with human tragedy. Although the war made it impractical for U2 to visit Sarajevo at the time, they vowed to eventually play a concert in the city. After the conflict ended in November 1995, they made arrangements to visit Sarajevo, and with help from United Nations ambassadors and peacekeeping troops, they scheduled and played the concert in 1997. San Siro
Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, commonly known as San Siro, is a football stadium in the San Siro district of Milan, Italy, which is the home of A.C. Milan and Inter Milan. It has a seating capacity of 80,018, making it one of the largest stadiums in Europe, and the largest in Italy.
