Shramik Mukti Dal
Shramik Mukti Dal (toilers’ liberation league), is a socio-political organization in Maharashtra, India. It is an organization working in eleven districts of Maharashtra, organizing farmers and toilers on issues of drought, dam and project eviction, and caste oppression. The Shramik Mukti Dal (SMD) follows an ideology not simply based on Marxism but on Marx-Phule-Ambedkarism. SMD has been instrumental in waging a movement for water rights for more that two decades. Much of development was uncontrolled, rapacious excavation of sand from riverbeds for the construction industry in drought-prone areas of Western Maharashtra, which had led to the drying up of the wells in the nearby farms. Varkaris
Warkari (Marathi: वारकरी; Pronunciation: aːɾkəɾiː Meaning: 'The one who performs the ''Wari''') is a sampradaya (religious movement) within the bhakti spiritual tradition of Hinduism, geographically associated with the Indian state of Maharashtra. Warkaris worship Vitthal (also known as Vithoba), the presiding deity of Pandharpur, regarded as a form of Krishna. ''Parityakta'' () is a Nepali language novel by Bhuwan Dhungana. It was published on June 28, 2020 by Nepa~laya Publication. It was nominated for Madan Puraskar for the year 2076 BS, one of the most prestigious literary award in Nepal. Synopsis The book shows the inner thoughts of a woman in a patriarchal Nepali society and how she deals with loneliness. It is written in first person stream of consciousness narrative. Release It is the first novel of the writer who has been active in the Nepali literary scene since 1970. The release of the book was delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The book was launched as a part of 2020 series of Nepalaya publication which featured books of four women writers.
