Shithi Saha
Shithi Saha is a Bangladeshi singer. She has done playback in '' Projapoti'' (2011) film with veteran Ferdous Wahid. She sings Tagore songs, folk and also film songs. She has made four studio albums. Early life Shithi learned music from her mother. Shithi's mentors were Ashok Saha and Late Ohaidul Huq. She learnt classical, folk and modern styles of music from Chhayanaut and Shommelon Parishad. She has won more than 100 Awards in that years, including four National Awards given for ''Rabindra Sangeet''. Career In 2005, Shithi debuted with the album ''Kichu Bolbo Bole'', a compilation of Tagore songs. It gained popularity. In 2009, she published her second album ''Kolpona'', containing 12 songs. She received national recognition with her first solo and third overall album ''Golpo Patay''. In 2015, she published her fourth album ''Mon Balika''. Ferdous Wahid is a retired Bangladeshi pop singer and film director. He made his directorial debut with the Bangladeshi film '' Kusumpurer Golpo'' (The Story of Kusumpur). Career Wahid started his career in the 1970s. His son Habib Wahid became a pop singer of the country too. Some of his hit songs while starting his career were composed by Anis Z. Chowdhury, Lucky Akhand and Alam Khan. Wahid retired from music industry in 2020. His brother, Captain Mustafa Jaglul Wahid, was married to Anju Kapoor - the sister of Indian film producer Dhiraj Vinod Kapoor. Chhayanaut
The Chhayanaut Sangeet Vidyatan ( bn, ছায়ানট) is an institution devoted to Bengali culture, founded in Bangladesh in 1961. As in the case of many similar organizations, it was established during Pakistani rule in Bangladesh to promote and nurture the cultural and musical heritage of Bengal. Every year, Chhayanaut arranges activities in order to celebrate the Pahela Boishakh, the first day of the Bengali new year.
