Shire Of Bulla
The Shire of Bulla was a local government area about northwest of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of , and existed from 1862 until 1994. History The Bulla Road District was created on 16 September 1862. It became a shire on 9 March 1866. It gained some territory from the Shire of Broadmeadows in 1955, including then-rural areas such as Craigieburn. Accessed at State Library of Victoria, La Trobe Reading Room. The Shire Offices were transferred from Bulla to Sunbury in 1956. On 15 December 1994, the Shire of Bulla was abolished, and along with parts of the City of Broadmeadows north of the Western Ring Road and parts of the Cities of Keilor and Whittlesea, was merged into the newly created City of Hume. Council met at the Shire Offices, in Sunbury. The facility is used today by the City of Hume, Western Water and VicRoads. Roxburgh Park, Victoria
Roxburgh Park is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Hume local government area. Roxburgh Park recorded a population of 24,129 at the 2021 census. The suburb is bound by Craigieburn to the north, to the west by Aitken Boulevard skirting the Greenvale Reservoir, to the east by the Craigieburn railway line and to the south by Somerton Road. History Originally part of Somerton, Roxburgh Park gets its name from the property "Roxburgh", which was named by local farmer Thomas Brunton in about 1885, after his house in Scotland. Prior to the construction of Roxburgh Park, the area was the subject of a design by architect Philip Treeby for a garden suburb called "Hopetoun" in 1889. Diggers Rest (formerly Diggers' Rest) is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Hume and Melton local government areas. VicRoads
VicRoads is a government joint venture in the state of Victoria, Australia. In the state, it is responsible for driver licensing and vehicle registration. It is owned and operated through a joint venture between the Victorian government and a consortium made up of Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust and Macquarie Asset Management. Before July 2019, it was the road and traffic authority in Victoria, responsible also for maintenance and construction of the arterial road network, and road safety policy and research.
