Shinmin No Michi
The was an ideological manifesto issued by the Ministry of Education of Japan during World War II aimed at Japan's domestic audience to explain in clear terms what was expected of them "as a people, nation and race". Origins During the summer of 1941, Prime Minister Fumimaro Konoe ordered the Minister of Education of Japan to compose a "Bible of the Japanese People", under the title of ''Shinmin no michi'', which was also sometimes called ''Hito-do'' (Subject's Way), or ''Shinja-do'' (The Way of the Follower). The first edition of 30,000 was issued in August 1941 and distributed to all schools in Japan. The ''Shinmin no michi'' offered three chapters which required only a few minutes of reading, explaining how subjects of the Emperor were to behave. It also presented a brief overview of world history from the Japanese viewpoint in the first third of the first chapter. The ''Far East'' was a European term to refer to the geographical regions that includes East and Southeast Asia as well as the Russian Far East to a lesser extent. An Investigation Of Global Policy With The Yamato Race As Nucleus
was a secret Japanese government report created by the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Institute of Population Problems (now the National Institute of Population and Social Security Research), and completed on July 1, 1943. The document, comprising six volumes totaling 3,127 pages, deals with race theory in general, and the rationale behind policies adopted by wartime Japan towards other races, while also providing a vision of the Asia-Pacific under Japanese control. Shotouka-Chiri
''Shotouka-Chiri'' (''Shotōka Chiri'', 初等科地理) is a geography book for elementary schools that was published in Japan in 1943. It was the official geography text for obligatory use in the Kokumin Gakkou, or ''National School''. It complemented the Japanese history present in '' Shinmin no Michi'' and '' Kokutai no Hongi'' official texts amongst the Imperial Rescripts on Education. Introduction This text book was divided in two parts: Chapter I "the Geography of Japan" and Chapter II "the Geography of the World".
