Sheng Zhimin
Sheng Zhimin (born 1969) is a Chinese filmmaker from Beijing. Unlike other directors to emerge in recent years, Sheng has had no formal training. He instead began his career as a line producer, screenwriter, and assistant director for other filmmakers like Jia Zhangke, Fruit Chan and Zhang Yang. In these positions, Sheng worked on the films ''Spicy Love Soup'', ''Durian Durian'', '' Public Toilet'', and '' Platform''. ''Bliss'' Sheng's first, and so far only directorial effort was 2006's '' Bliss'', a family drama set in the central Chinese city of Chongqing. ''Bliss'' premiered at the 2006 Locarno International Film Festival where it won the NETPAC award, and had its North American premiere at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. It also screened at the 2007 Shanghai International Film Festival, where it picked up a best picture prize for the New Talent side-competition. Vesoul
Vesoul () is a commune in the Haute-Saône department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté located in eastern France. It is the most populated municipality of the department with inhabitants in 2014. The same year, the Communauté d'agglomération de Vesoul which covers 20 municipalities together had inhabitants while the Urban area of Vesoul which includes 78 municipalities, had inhabitants. ''Durian Durian'' () is a 2000 Hong Kong film directed by Fruit Chan. The film portrays the experiences of a young girl, Fan ( Mak Wai-Fan), and her sex worker neighbour, Yan (Qin Hailu), in Hong Kong. Plot Yan is a prostitute from the mainland in Hong Kong, living near Fan and her family, who is staying in the area illegally. Yasujirō Ozu

Edward Yang
Edward Yang (; November 6, 1947 – June 29, 2007) was a Taiwanese filmmaker. Yang, along with fellow auteurs Hou Hsiao-hsien and Tsai Ming-liang, was one of the leading film-makers of the Taiwanese New Wave and Taiwanese cinema.
