Shaun McSkimming
Shaun McSkimming (born 29 May 1970 in Stranraer) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a left-sided attacking midfielder for Dundee, Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Peterhead in Scotland as well as Atlanta Silverbacks in the USA. Club career McSkimming signed for Dundee at the start of the 1987–88 season and remained at Dens Park for 4 years, where he played in 24 league matches and scored 3 league goals. In the close season of 1991, McSkimming signed for East Ayrshire club Kilmarnock, where he stayed for three years. McSkimming's first match for Kilmarnock was at Rugby Park on 10 August 1991 versus Stirling Albion. McSkimming proved a fair acquisition, scoring some fine goals that included a brilliant solo effort at East End Park versus Dunfermline Athletic and also the winner in a 2–1 home win versus Kilmarnock's South Ayrshire rivals Ayr United in the Scottish Cup of season 1993–94. Stranraer
Stranraer ( , in Scotland also ; gd, An t-Sròn Reamhar ), also known as The Toon, is a town in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is located in the historical parish of Inch in the historic county of Wigtownshire. It lies on the shores of Loch Ryan, on the northern side of the isthmus joining the Rhins of Galloway to the mainland. Stranraer is Dumfries and Galloway's second-largest town, with a population including the immediate surrounding area of nearly 13,000 inhabitants. After failing to win anything the previous season, Rangers won the Scottish Cup and League Cup under their new manager Alex McLeish. Airdrieonians, who narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League as First Division runners-up, went out of business of 1 May with debts of nearly £3million. Albion Rovers Football Club is a semi-professional football team from Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. They are members of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) and play in Scottish League Two, the fourth tier of the Scottish football league system. Founded in 1882 as the result of an amalgamation of two teams, Albion and Rovers, the club joined the Scottish Football League initially in 1903 before returning in 1919 and, although they have spent most of their time in the lower divisions, have maintained their league membership since. Fir Park Stadium is a football stadium situated in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The stadium plays host to the home matches of Scottish Premiership club Motherwell and was the temporary home of Gretna for the 2007–08 SPL season. Motherwell moved to the stadium in 1895, previously playing their football at Dalziel Park. History and facilities Motherwell F.C. was formed in 1886. It played at sites on Roman Road and Dalziel Park until 1895, when Fir Park was opened. The ground was laid out in a wooded area belonging to Lord Hamilton of Dalzell, whose racing colours were claret and amber. Motherwell then adopted these colours themselves. Fir Park did not get off to a convincing start, with low attendances leading to rumours that Hibernian were ready to take over the stadium, something that didn't materialise.
