Severe Dementia is a Bangladeshi metal band formed in Dhaka in January 2004. Their initial name was 666. They are considered to be one of the first death metal band from Bangladesh. They are a pioneering band of the ''East Bengal Extreme Metal'' scene. Their EP ''Epitaph of Plassey'' is widely regarded as one of most influential death metal record in Bangladesh. History In 2004, Ahmed Shawki and his friend Saimum Hasan Nahian created a band named 666. It was a bold approach because the band culture of Dhaka was not very much introduced to extreme metal musics like death metal then. Gradually this band became a pioneer of death metal music of Bangladesh. During 2012–2016, the band was inactive because its vocal Ahmed Shawki left the country and went to Australia. Since then, Riasat Azmi is serving as vocalist of this band. Mirza Muhammad Siraj-ud-Daulah ( fa, ; 1733 – 2 July 1757), commonly known as Siraj-ud-Daulah or Siraj ud-Daula, was the last independent Nawab of Bengal. The end of his reign marked the start of the rule of the East India Company over Bengal and later almost all of the Indian subcontinent. Siraj succeeded his maternal grandfather, Alivardi Khan as the Nawab of Bengal in April 1756 at the age of 23. Battle Of Plassey
The Battle of Plassey was a decisive victory of the British East India Company over the Nawab of Bengal and his French allies on 23 June 1757, under the leadership of Robert Clive. The victory was made possible by the defection of Mir Jafar, who was Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah's commander in chief. The battle helped the British East India Company take control of Bengal. Over the next hundred years, they seized control of most of the rest of the Indian subcontinent, including Burma. Raef Al Hasan Rafa
Raef Al Hasan Rafa (born 27 October 1988) is a Bangladeshi singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the former drummer of rock band Aurthohin, and current drummer of metal band Cryptic Fate. He's also member of metal band Severe Dementia, Kral and The Joint Family. He is the founding member of the rock band AvoidRafa. Biography Beginnings Due to his father's job posting, he spent some time of his childhood in Libya, he was the youngest child of his family, and is the younger brother of Saadi Muktafi, a guitarist and the founding member of the band Kral. He spent most of his early childhood in Libya. After returning to Bangladesh at the age of 5, he got admitted to Maple Leaf International School in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was pushed to learn Nazrul Geeti,a local genre of song and harmonium during his childhood, but he scarcely had any interest in music back then.
