Ukraine's Strongest Man ( ua, Найсильніша людина України) is an annual strongman competition held in Ukraine, featuring exclusively Ukrainian athletes to determine the Strongest Ukrainian of the year. Vasyl Virastyuk holds the record for most wins, winning the title 7 times. Oleksandr Lashyn has won the title 6 times and Oleksii Novikov 4 times. Vasyl Virastyuk ( uk, Василь Вірастюк; born 22 April 1974), is a Ukrainians, Ukrainian politician and former strongman (strength athlete), strongman competitor. He is a brother of Roman Virastyuk. Virastyuk was the winner of 2004 World's Strongest Man, World's Strongest Man 2004. In a 28 March 2021 parliamentary 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election, by-election, Virastyuk was a candidate for Servant of the People (political party), Servant of the People. Powerlifter
Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. As in the sport of Olympic weightlifting, it involves the athlete attempting a maximal weight single-lift effort of a barbell loaded with weight plates.
