Septuple Coalition
The Septuple Coalition was the electoral alliance of seven communist political groups contesting in the 1979 Iranian Constitutional Convention election with the stated objective of "exposé". The alliance also endorsed candidates of the Organization of Iranian People's Fedai Guerrillas –which was not part of the coalition– despite the differences between them. Their main base of support came from lower and lower-middle class students. The leading candidate in the list was Morteza Aladpoush who received only 49,979 votes in Tehran constituency. Political position They rejected the draft constitution as a "proof of bourgeois treason against the revolution and the people" and the way the Assembly for the Final Review of the Constitution was mandated by the Council of the Islamic Revolution. Organization Of Struggle For The Emancipation Of The Working Class
The Organization of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class ( fa, سازمان پیکار در راه آزادی طبقه کارگر, Sāzmān-e peykār dar rāh-e āzādī-e ṭabaqa-ye kārgar), or simply Peykar ( fa, پيکار, lit=struggle), also known by the earlier name Marxist Mojahedin, was a splinter group from the People's Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Members associated with it declared that they no longer self-identify as Muslims but rather only believe in Marxism–Leninism. They subsequently started an intragroup conflict with other MEK members who refused to join it (on the grounds that they still believed in Islam) and tried to purge the group in order to make it purely Marxist. The Grand National Alliance ( fa, اتحاد بزرگ ملّی, etteḥād-e bozorg-e mellī) was a secular electoral alliance contesting in the 1979 Iranian Constitutional Convention election. The Quintuple Coalition refers to the electoral alliance of five revolutionary groups contesting in the 1979 Iranian Constitutional Convention election. The groups in coalition had Islamic and Radical politics, radical orientations. After the elections, the coalition sent an open letter to Ruhollah Khomeini and complained about "Electoral fraud, fraud". The Great Islamic Coalition or the Coalition of Islamic Parties was an electoral alliance of organizations led by Islamic Republican Party, competing in 1979 Iranian Constitutional Convention election. Union of Iranian Communists (Sarbedaran lit. ''the head-on-gallow mass'') (UIC(S); fa, اتحادیه کمونیستهای ایران) was a Maoist organization in Iran. The UIC(S) was formed in 1976 after the alliance of a number of Maoist groups carrying out military actions within Iran. The group prepared an insurrection starting in 1981, but it was dismantled by 1982. Although it has gone through several ideological changes, it has maintained a general Maoist viewpoint advocating that Iran is not a capitalist society but a "semicolonial-semifeudal" one.
