Senior Players Championship
The Senior Players Championship, stylised by the PGA Tour as The SENIOR PLAYERS Championship, is one of the five major championships on golf's PGA Tour Champions. The inaugural event was played in 1983 and the age minimum is 50, the standard for men's senior professional golf tournaments. The winner gains entry into the following season's Players Championship on the PGA Tour. For sponsorship reasons, from 2023, the tournament will be titled as the Kaulig Companies Championship. Unlike the U.S. Senior Open, the Senior PGA Championship, and the Senior Open Championship, it is not recognized as a major by the European Senior Tour, and is not part of that tour's schedule. WGC-Bridgestone Invitational
The WGC Invitational was a professional golf tournament that was held in the United States. Established in 1999 as a successor to the World Series of Golf, it was one of three or four annual World Golf Championships (WGC) until 2021, when the number of WGC events was reduced to two. Under sponsorship agreements, the WGC Invitational was titled as the WGC-NEC Invitational (1999–2005) and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational (2006–2018). During this time, it was hosted at Firestone Country Club in Ohio, except for 2002 when it was hosted at Sahalee Country Club in Washington. With a change of sponsor in 2019, the tournament became titled as the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and was relocated to at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. Exmoor Country Club
Exmoor is loosely defined as an area of hilly open moorland in west Somerset and north Devon in South West England. It is named after the River Exe, the source of which is situated in the centre of the area, two miles north-west of Simonsbath. Exmoor is more precisely defined as the area of the former ancient royal hunting forest, also called Exmoor, which was officially surveyed 1815–1818 as in extent. Jeff Maggert
Jeffrey Allan Maggert (born February 20, 1964) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions. Early life Maggert was born in Columbia, Missouri. He was raised on a golf course in The Woodlands, Texas where he attended McCullough High School. Amateur career Maggert attended Texas A&M University. He was an All-American member of the golf team. Professional career Maggert turned professional in 1986. Early in his career he played overseas, especially on the Asia Golf Circuit and PGA Tour of Australia. Vijay Singh
Vijay Singh ( hif, विजय सिंह ; born 22 February 1963), nicknamed "The Big Fijian", is a Fijian professional golfer. He has won 34 events on the PGA Tour, including three major championships: one Masters title (2000) and two PGA Championships (1998, 2004). He is the first person of South Asian descent to win a major championship. He was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2006. Tim Petrovic
Tim Petrovic (born August 16, 1966) is an American professional golfer. He won one PGA Tour event, and has finished runner-up in four senior major golf championships. Early life Petrovic was born in Northampton, Massachusetts. He played college golf for the Hartford Hawks, and was an NCAA Division I All-American selection in 1988. Petrovic was a teammate of future PGA Tour professional Jerry Kelly. He was inducted into University of Hartford's Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995. Professional career Petrovic turned professional in 1988. He joined the Nike Tour (now known as the Korn Ferry Tour) in 1994, and first earned his PGA Tour card in 2002. Jay Haas
Jay Dean Haas (born December 2, 1953) is an American professional golfer formerly of the PGA Tour who now plays on the PGA Tour Champions. Early life and amateur career Haas was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and grew up in Belleville, Illinois. He attended Wake Forest University and was a member of the NCAA Championship team of the middle 1970s with Curtis Strange and Bob Byman that ''Golf World'' has called "the greatest college team of all time". Retief Goosen (born 3 February 1969) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions. Scott Parel
Scott Parel (born May 15, 1965) is an American professional golfer. Parel was born in Pontiac, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Georgia but did not play college golf. He worked for 10 years as a computer programmer and database administrator after college before becoming a professional golfer. Parel played on the Web.com Tour in 2003, 2005–09, and 2012–15. 2020–21 PGA Tour Champions Season
The 2020–21 PGA Tour Champions season is the 41st in which PGA Tour Champions, a golf tour for men age 50 and over, has operated. The tour officially began in 1980 as the Senior PGA Tour. The season was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with half the scheduled tournaments being cancelled, including four of the five senior majors. As a result the only major played in 2020 was the Senior Players Championship, which was won by Jerry Kelly, who finished two strokes ahead Scott Parel to claim his first senior major title. The season was expanded to include all 2021 tournaments with the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs events in 2020 returning to regular event status.
