Tim Petrovic
Tim Petrovic (born August 16, 1966) is an American professional golfer. He won one PGA Tour event, and has finished runner-up in four senior major golf championships. Early life Petrovic was born in Northampton, Massachusetts. He played college golf for the Hartford Hawks, and was an NCAA Division I All-American selection in 1988. Petrovic was a teammate of future PGA Tour professional Jerry Kelly. He was inducted into University of Hartford's Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995. Professional career Petrovic turned professional in 1988. He joined the Nike Tour (now known as the Korn Ferry Tour) in 1994, and first earned his PGA Tour card in 2002. 2010 PGA Championship
The 2010 PGA Championship was the 92nd PGA Championship, played August 12–15 at the Straits Course of the Whistling Straits complex in Haven, Wisconsin (postal address Kohler). Martin Kaymer won his first major championship in a three-hole playoff over Bubba Watson. It was the second PGA Championship in six years at Whistling Straits, the first in 2004 was won by Vijay Singh, also in a playoff. Senior Players Championship
The Senior Players Championship, stylised by the PGA Tour as The SENIOR PLAYERS Championship, is one of the five major championships on golf's PGA Tour Champions. The inaugural event was played in 1983 and the age minimum is 50, the standard for men's senior professional golf tournaments. The winner gains entry into the following season's Players Championship on the PGA Tour. For sponsorship reasons, from 2023, the tournament will be titled as the Kaulig Companies Championship. Unlike the U.S. Senior Open, the Senior PGA Championship, and the Senior Open Championship, it is not recognized as a major by the European Senior Tour, and is not part of that tour's schedule. PGA Championship
The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. It is one of the four men's major championships in professional golf. It was formerly played in mid-August on the third weekend before Labor Day weekend, serving as the fourth and final men's major of the golf season. Beginning in 2019, the tournament is played in May on the weekend before Memorial Day, as the season's second major following the Masters Tournament in April. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. The Masters was started by amateur champion Bobby Jones and investment banker Clifford Roberts. Sam Saunders (golfer)
Samuel Palmer Saunders (born July 30, 1987) is an American professional golfer and the grandson of Arnold Palmer. Early years Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Saunders parents are Roy and Amy (Palmer) Saunders; his mother Amy is the younger daughter of Arnold and Winnie Palmer. Saunders attended high school at Trinity Prep in Winter Park. As a senior, he won his second club championship at Bay Hill Club and Lodge by seventeen strokes, which earned him an invitation to the 2006 PGA Tour event hosted by his grandfather. Emiliano Grillo (; born 14 September 1992) is an Argentine professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2015 Frys.com Open on the PGA Tour. Early years and amateur career In his youth, Grillo was quarter-finalist at the 2008 U.S. Junior Amateur. He got the 2009 Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award. Jonathan Lynch Curran (born February 17, 1987) is an American professional golfer. Curran was born in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. He played college golf at Vanderbilt University. Curran turned professional in 2009. He played on the NGA Pro Golf Tour in 2013, winning one event and topping the money list. Alex Čejka
Alexander Čejka (born 2 December 1970) is a Czech-German professional golfer. Čejka was born in Mariánské Lázně, Czechoslovakia. He left the country with his parents as a refugee at the age of nine, eventually settling in Munich, where he lived for many years, becoming a West German citizen. Čejka lives in Las Vegas and also has a home in Prague. Professional career Čejka turned professional in 1989 and played on the European Tour from 1992 to 2002. Puerto Rico Open
The Puerto Rico Open is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour that was first played in 2008. It is the only PGA Tour event ever held in Puerto Rico. The tournament is played at the Coco Beach Golf Course (previously Trump International Golf Club Puerto Rico) which was designed by Tom Kite. From its inception through 2015, it was played in early March as an alternate event to the WGC-Cadillac Championship, but in 2016 it moved to late March, opposite the WGC-Dell Match Play. All four rounds are broadcast on the Golf Channel. The winner of the Puerto Rico Open earns 300 FedEx Cup points and 24 OWGR points, compared to 550 FedEx Cup and 70-80 OWGR points for World Golf Championships. The 2014–15 PGA Tour was the 100th season of the PGA Tour, and the 48th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began on October 9, 2014. Changes for 2014–15 *One new event was added (Barbasol Championship) and the Sanderson Farms Championship made a return. *Winners of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Memorial Tournament were for the first time given three-year exemptions and invitations to the next three Players Championships. *For the first time, the conditional status category (126th to 150th in the FedEx Cup) was regularly reshuffled, like the Web.com Tour graduate and past champion categories. James Driscoll
James Driscoll (born October 9, 1977) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. Amateur career Driscoll was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the youngest of seven children. He grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, outside Boston. He started golf at a young age and won the club championship at his home club of Charles River at age 15. A year later, he won the Massachusetts Junior Championship. He then went on to win the Massachusetts State Amateur Championship in 1996 at the age of 18, becoming the youngest-ever winner of the tournament, and again in 1998.
