Senado
The Senate ( es, Senado) is the upper house of the Cortes Generales, which along with the Congress of Deputies – the lower chamber – comprises the Parliament of the Kingdom of Spain. The Senate meets in the Palace of the Senate in Madrid. The composition of the Senate is established in Part III of the Spanish Constitution. The Senate is composed of senators, each of whom represents a province, an autonomous city or an autonomous community. Each mainland province, regardless of its population size, is equally represented by four senators; in the insular provinces, the big islands are represented by three senators and the minor islands are represented by a single senator. Likewise, the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla elect two senators each. This direct election results in the election of 208 senators by the citizens. 14th Senate Of Spain
The 14th Senate of Spain is the current meeting of the Senate of Spain, the upper house of the Spanish Cortes Generales, with the membership determined primarily by the results of the general election held on 10 November 2019. The Senate met for the first time on 3 December 2019. According to the Constitution of Spain the maximum legislative term of the senate is 4 years from the preceding election. Ander Gil
Ander Gil García (born 9 February 1974) is a Spanish teacher and politician serving as the 62nd and current president of the Senate of Spain since 2021. Gil has been Senator for Burgos since 2011 and Spokesperson of the Socialist Group in the Senate from 2017 to 2021. Previously, Gil served as a local councillor for Valle de Mena from 1995 to 2011. Biography Gil was born in Barakaldo, Biscay. He graduated as an elementary school teacher in the University of Burgos and he started his political career at the age of 21, when he was elected local councillor in Valle de Mena, Burgos province. Pío García-Escudero Márquez, 4th Count of Badarán (born 28 October 1952) is a Spanish architect and politician who served as the 59th President of the Senate of Spain from 2011 to 2019. Since 21 May 2019, Escudero has served as the Second Vice President of the Senate. Early life Born in 1952 in Madrid where he was raised, he graduated from Technical University of Madrid and as an architect from Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid. Citizens (Spanish Political Party)

The Canarian Coalition ( es, Coalición Canaria, CC) is a regionalist, Canarian nationalist political party in Spain operating in the Canary Islands. The party's aim is for greater autonomy for the islands but not independence. It has been labeled as both conservative and liberal. The party governed the Canary Islands from 1993 to 2019. Parliamentary opposition is a form of political opposition to a designated government, particularly in a Westminster-based parliamentary system.
