See You Next Tuesday (band)
See You Next Tuesday is an American deathcore band from Bay City, Michigan. They were signed to Ferret Music, Ferret Records, an independent record label based in New Brunswick, New Jersey, New Brunswick, New Jersey. The group released two full-length studio albums through Ferret before disestablishing in 2009 due to financial problems and personal overtures. On May 22, 2015, they announced that they would make a one-off appearance to perform at Don't Call It A Fest II on September 12, 2015. Following the performance, the band announced it would extend the reunion and would be reforming. History See You Next Tuesday was formed in Bay City, Michigan, in February 2004, the band originally started out as a joke, but when the group found their early live performances went well, they began to take their music seriously. Bay City is a city and county seat of Bay County in the U.S. state of Michigan, located near the base of the Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. August Burns Red is an American metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, formed in 2003. The band's current lineup consists of lead guitarist John Benjamin "JB" Brubaker, rhythm guitarist Brent Rambler, drummer Matt Greiner, lead vocalist Jake Luhrs and bassist Dustin Davidson. ''Intervals'' is the second studio album by See You Next Tuesday. It was set to be released on October 14, but was pushed back to October 21, 2008 by Ferret. The album shows the band progressing towards an overall death metal sound, rather than continue to showcase the more predominant metalcore influence of their previous releases. The Acacia Strain
The Acacia Strain is an American metalcore band originally from Chicopee, Massachusetts. They are currently signed to Rise Records. The band has released ten full-length albums. History Forming in 2001, The Acacia Strain was started by high school friends Vincent Bennett, Christopher Daniele, and Ben Abert. Looking to bring their current band Septic Orgasm to the next level of technicality, they brought in their mutual friend, Karrie Whitfield, and high school student Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz to play bass and guitar respectively. The band began playing local shows around Massachusetts and recorded their demo in 2001. Psyopus (sometimes written as PsyOpus) was an American mathcore band from Rochester, New York. History Formed in 2002, the band is noted for the unorthodox and extremely technical guitar techniques of Christopher Arp, often referred to as "Arpmandude", because he mainly uses one technique, tapping. To get endorsement deals from various guitar and amp companies, Arp had to send a live video of himself playing to prove that he could play as fast as he does. Arp considers Psyopus a technically proficient band: "I understand people not understanding us so by default the music comes across as noise but, the music makes sense to us all too much and every 16th note was scrutinized." Despised Icon
Despised Icon is a Canadian deathcore band from Montreal, Quebec. Formed in 2002, the band is noted for the talent of its drummer, Alex Pelletier, who makes frequent use of the blasting technique, as well as for its dual lead vocalists; Alex Erian and Steve Marois. Erian makes use of a mid-range growl technique while Marois performs high-pitched fry shrieks, deeper growled vocals and pig squeals. In April 2010, the band disbanded, but officially re-formed six years later in April 2016 after playing reunion shows in 2014 and 2015.
