Sean Daniel (basketball)
Sean Mcdonough Daniel (שון דניאל; born May 4, 1989) is an Israeli former professional basketball player. He played the small forward position. He was named the 2012 Israeli Basketball Premier League Most Improved Player. Biography Daniel was born in Ramat Gan, Israel. He is 6' 6" (198 cm) tall. He played in the 2004 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship and 2005 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship, 2006 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship and 2007 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship, and 2008 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship and 2009 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. Daniel also played in the 2011 Summer Universiade. Daniel played as a professional for Hapoel Holon and Maccabi Ashdod. Small Forward
The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. They are strategic and are often relied upon to score, defend, create open lanes, and rebound for their team. Hapoel ( he, הפועל, lit. ''the worker'') is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. History During the British Mandate of Palestine period Hapoel had a bitter rivalry with Maccabi and organized its own competitions, with the exception of football, the only sport in which all the organizations played each other. Maccabi Ashdod B.C. ( he, מכבי אשדוד) is a professional basketball team based in the port city of Ashdod, Israel. The team currently plays in the Israeli National League. History The team was founded in 1961 by "Maccabi Ashdod Sports Association", with the help of former Maccabi Cairo players who migrated to Israel and played for the club in the first years in the Outdoor court. Hapoel Holon Basketball Club ( he, מועדון הכדורסל הפועל חולון), known for sponsorship reasons as Hapoel Atsmon Playgrounds Holon (), is a professional basketball club based in Holon, Israel. The team plays in the Israeli Basketball Premier League (the top tier of Israeli basketball), and internationally in the Basketball Champions League. Ramat Gan ( he, רָמַת גַּן or , ) is a city in the Tel Aviv District of Israel, located east of the municipality of Tel Aviv and part of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
