Alexandra Seager
Alexandra Seager, (; 10 November 1870 – 12 March 1950), generally known as Mrs. A. Seager, was a businesswoman and philanthropist in South Australia, remembered as the founder of the Cheer-Up Society which provided comforts for servicemen in World War I. History Seager, whose birthname may have been Alexandrine or Alexandrina, was born in Ballarat, Victoria, the eldest daughter of William Laidlaw ( – ) and his wife Helen Mickel Laidlaw, née Dickson ( – ) who married in 1869. Laidlaw had a previous marriage on 2 March 1864 to Alexandrina Marjory Fraser, who died shortly after giving birth to a son. She married Clarendon James Seager (c. 1857 – 1941) on 16 June 1891 and settled in Adelaide in 1908. Michael Seager
Michael Anthony John Seager (born 8 December 1947) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer. Seager was a left-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born at Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia (today Harare, Zimbabwe). Seager made his debut in English county cricket for Berkshire in the 1969 Minor Counties Championship against Dorset. He played Minor counties cricket for Berkshire in 1969 and 1970 seasons, making a total of ten appearances. Back in Rhodesia, he later made a single first-class appearances for Rhodesia B against Natal B in February 1979. In this match, Seager scored 7 runs in Rhodesia B's first-innings, before being dismissed by Ismail Ebrahim, while in their second-innings he scored 41 runs, before being dismissed by Peter Williams. Natal B won the match by 37 runs. His brother, Christopher, was also a first-class cricketer. William Henry Seager
Sir William Henry Seager (1862 – 10 March 1941) was a Welsh shipping magnate and Liberal Party politician who spent four years as a Member of Parliament (MP). Life The Seager family were originally from Ilfracombe, Devon, but moved to Cardiff in the 1850s. William Henry Seager was born in Cardiff and initially worked as a clerk but established his own business, W. H. Seager & Company, ship's chandlers, at 109, Bute Street, Cardiff in 1892. In 1904 he bought a new ship, the 'Tempus'. By 1910 he was buying more ships, another new ship which Seager called the ''Amicus'', then three older ships which he renamed ''Beatus'', ''Salvus'' and ''Virtus'', and also by 1914 the ''Campus'' had been added to the line. Allan Seager (February 5, 1906 – May 10, 1968) was an American novelist and short story writer based in Michigan. His stories were published in such leading magazines as ''The New Yorker'' and ''Esquire''. He also taught creative writing to generations of students at the University of Michigan from 1935 to 1968. Seager won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University. After returning to the United States, he worked for a time as an assistant editor at '' Vanity Fair'' magazine in New York City. Kyle Duerr Seager (born November 3, 1987) is an American former professional baseball third baseman who played his entire career for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2011 to 2021.
