Score Entertainment
Score Entertainment was a trading card design and manufacturing company based in Arlington, Texas. Their first card game was the Dragon Ball Z: Collectible Card Game in 2000. Score Entertainment was a member of the Donruss Playoff LP family of companies. Donruss Playoff LP was bought out in early 2009 by Panini America and Score Entertainment was closed down. Trading cards and games As with several other companies in the trading card and collectible card game industries, Score Entertainment licensed popular intellectual properties for their games and trading cards. These are drawn from a variety of television programs, animated series, and video games. Buffy The Vampire Slayer Collectible Card Game
The ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer Collectible Card Game'' is an out-of-print trading card game based on ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer''. It was released in December 2001 by Score Entertainment. As of January 2004, Score Entertainment no longer holds the rights to this game. Hence, no further production runs or expansions for the game are planned. As of 2006, the game continues to have an active player base. Virtual expansions, or "dream cards" are created and approved by a players committee known as the Watchers Council Association. They are also responsible for worldwide player rankings, current rulings, and tournament organization and support. Epic Battles
''Epic Battles'' is an out-of-print collectible card game produced by Score Entertainment that was released in September 2005. Gameplay attempts to emulate a traditional fighting game experience and features characters and attacks from several different franchises. There are four separate sets of cards available that feature characters from ''Mortal Kombat'', ''Street Fighter'', and ''Tekken'', plus an unreleased '' Darkstalkers'' set. Gameplay Gameplay is divided into turns of five steps. Unlike most collectible card games, players may take any action on any turn. The goal of the game is to "damage" an opponent with attacks, forcing them to discard cards from their deck. When a player runs out of cards, they lose the game. Each turn begins with both players drawing three cards. Next, both players set any events they have drawn face down on the table. Yu Yu Hakusho Trading Card Game
The ''Yu Yu Hakusho Trading Card Game'' was first published in 2003 by Score Entertainment, and is based on the anime and manga series ''YuYu Hakusho'' (the series is spelled ''Yu Yu Hakusho'' in FUNimation's anime version and spelled ''YuYu Hakusho'' in the Viz English manga). It is a two-player tournament-styled collectible card game; each player uses a deck of forty-four or more cards that is headed by a team of four character cards. The game was discontinued in 2005. Sonic X Trading Card Game
is a Japanese anime television series based on Sega's '' Sonic the Hedgehog'' video game series. Produced by TMS Entertainment under partnership with Sega and Sonic Team, and directed by Hajime Kamegaki, ''Sonic X'' initially ran for 52 episodes, broadcasting on TV Tokyo from April 2003 to March 2004. A further 26 episodes aired in North America, Europe, and the Middle East from 2005 to 2006. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi.
