''Savage'' is the eighth studio album by American R&B singer-songwriter Tank. It was released on September 29, 2017 by Atlantic Records and his synergetic label R&B Money. The album debuted and peaked at number 24 number US ''Billboard'' 200 and at number 17 on ''Billboard''s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The album's leading single " When We" became his first US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 entry as a solo artist in over a decade and peaked at number one on the Adult R&B Songs chart. Tank (American Singer)
Artaze Babbs (born January 1, 1976), better known by his stage name Tank, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, producer and actor. He is known for the singles "Maybe I Deserve" (2001), " Please Don't Go" (2007), and " When We" (2017). According to '' Billboard'', Tank has sold 1.76 million albums in the U.S. as of 2013. Early life Durrell Babbs was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved with his family as a child to Maryland. He was a multisport athlete in high school and was offered the opportunity to play college football. However, Tank decided to focus on music and his talent eventually led him to an opportunity to sing background vocals for Ginuwine during one of the latter's tours. Apple Music is a music, audio and video streaming service developed by Apple Inc. Users select music to stream to their device on-demand, or they can listen to existing playlists. New Jack Swing
New jack swing, new jack, or swingbeat is a fusion genre of the rhythms and production techniques of hip hop and dance-pop, and the urban contemporary sound of R&B. Spearheaded by producers Teddy Riley and Bernard Belle, new jack swing was most popular from the late-1980s to early-1990s. Its influence, along with hip hop, seeped into pop culture. Merriam-Webster's online dictionary defines new jack swing as "pop music usually performed by black musicians that combines elements of jazz, funk, rap, and rhythm and blues." New jack swing took up the trend of using sampled beats and tunes, and created beats using electronic drum machines such as the then-new SP-1200 sampler and the Roland TR-808 to lay an "insistent beat under light melody lines and clearly enunciated vocals."
