Hulu Langat District
Hulu Langat District is a district located in the southeastern corner of Selangor, between Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan. It is bordered by the state of Pahang to the east and north, Gombak district to the north-west, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Petaling district to the west, Sepang district to the south-west, and state of Negeri Sembilan to the south. Kajang
Kajang is a town in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Kajang, along with much of Hulu Langat District, is governed by the Kajang Municipal Council. Kajang town is located on the eastern banks of the Langat River. It is surrounded by Cheras, Semenyih, Bangi, Putrajaya and Serdang. According to the 2020 census, the local authority area (which includes Kajang) has a population of 1.05 million people. Etymology The name ''Kajang'' is believed to have originated from the language of Temuan tribes ( Orang Asli) who populated the Langat valley in the 17th-18th centuries. In their language ''kajang'' referred to their art of weaving screwpine or pandanus leaves, which were prevalent in much of the country. A similar theory stated that settlers from the neighboring domain of Sungai Ujong ( Negeri Sembilan) once constructed huts (''pondok'') in the area with thatched roof made from folded (''lipat kajang'') screwpine leaves. Cheras–Kajang Expressway
The Cheras–Kajang Expressway is an controlled-access highway in the Klang Valley region of Peninsular Malaysia. It runs between the suburb of Cheras at the Kuala Lumpur–Selangor border and the township of Kajang in Selangor. History The expressway is part of a major expansion of Jalan Cheras, which consisted of a two-lane intercity road between Kajang and Cheras. Construction of the expressway commenced in late 1998 and, at a cost of RM275 million, was completed and began tolling on 15 January 1999. The Federal Route 1 is the first federal road in Malaysia, the oldest federal road in Malaysia, and among the nation's earliest public roadways ever constructed. Balakong ( Jawi: بالقوڠ; ) or Cheras South ( Jawi: چراس سلتن; ) is a township in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Kajang–Seremban Highway
The Kajang–Seremban Highway, KASEH ( Malay: ''Lebuhraya Kajang–Seremban''), or LEKAS Highway, is an expressway in Malaysia connecting Kajang, Selangor to Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Seremban
Seremban (Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Soghomban'', ''Somban''; Jawi: ) is a city in the Seremban District and the capital of the state of Negeri Sembilan in Peninsular Malaysia. The city's administration is run by the Seremban City Council. Seremban gained its city status on 20 January 2020. Kuala Pilah
Kuala Pilah (Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Kolo Pilah''), or simply Pilah, is a town in Kuala Pilah District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Townscape Kuala Pilah is an old valley town with many of the pre-war Chinese shop houses still fronting the main streets surrounded by traditional style Malay village houses built on stilts nestled among extensive rice fields. It has a sizeable Chinese community that has existed since the mining days during the early British rule. This community today engages in trading and providing essential services such as workshops, hairdressing and coffee shops. Sungai Jernih MRT Station
Sungai Jernih MRT station is an elevated rapid transit station on the MRT Kajang Line (KG line), located in the northern precincts of downtown Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia. It was opened on 17 July 2017, along with 19 adjoining stations (from Muzium Negara to Kajang) as part of ''Phase 2'' of the system. The station stands at the northern gateway to Kajang town, along Jalan Cheras (which is part of Malaysia Federal Route 1 ) and just south of the southern end of the Grand Saga Expressway .
