Sarel Burger
Sarel Francois Burger (born 13 February 1983) is a Namibian former cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He played in two One Day Internationals in the Cricket World Cup in 2003. He also participated in List A cricket between 2001 and 2004 and participated in the ICC Trophy in July 2005. His brother Louis Burger played for Namibia in the World Cup, while Bernie Burger has played in the ICC Trophy. Windhoek (, , ) is the capital and largest city of Namibia. 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge
The 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge was a List A cricket competition that took place in South Africa from 15 October 2017 to 8 April 2018. The competition was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams and Namibia. The tournament was played in parallel with the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup, a first-class competition which featured the same teams. Northerns were the defending champions. Following Namibia's fixture against Free State in February 2018, Namibia's captain Sarel Burger and vice-captain Craig Williams retired from cricket. The final was played between Gauteng and North West at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on 8 April 2018. North West won the match to claim their first tile, beating Gauteng by 34 runs. 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two
2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two was a cricket tournament that took place in February 2018 in Namibia. The United Arab Emirates won the tournament, after beating Nepal by 7 runs in the final. Canada and Namibia finished third and fourth respectively and remained in Division Two. Oman and Kenya finished fifth and sixth respectively and were both relegated to Division Three. Following Kenya's last-place finish in the tournament, their captain Rakep Patel and their coach Thomas Odoyo both resigned.
