Sarah Bentley (born 8 March 1973) is a British former professional tennis player. Bentley qualified for her first WTA Tour tournament at Brighton in 1989 and reached a best singles ranking of No. 269 on the professional tour. As a wildcard, Bentley twice featured in the main draw at Wimbledon. In 1991, she lost a three set opening round match to Maya Kidowaki is a retired Japanese tennis player. Steffi Graf defeated Gabriela Sabatini in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 8–6 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1991 Wimbledon Championships. 1992 Wimbledon Championships – Women's Singles
Defending champion Steffi Graf defeated Monica Seles in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1992 Wimbledon Championships. It was Graf's fourth Wimbledon singles title and eleventh major title overall, and Seles' best career finish at Wimbledon. Seles was attempting to complete the non-calendar year Grand Slam and career Grand Slam, having won the preceding US Open, Australian Open, and French Open in succession. Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return.
