Sara Kyle
Sara Peery Kyle (born October 21, 1952) is an American attorney and politician, and currently represents the 30th district in the Tennessee Senate. She became the second woman to elected to statewide office in Tennessee when she won the race for Public Service Commissioner in 1994. Kyle is a Senate member of the 109th through 111th General Assemblies. Life Kyle was born in 1952 to Bruce and Emma Gene Clement Peery of Dickson, Tennessee and was a 1970 graduate of Dickson High School. She is the niece of Frank G. Clement, who served as governor, and Anna Belle Clement O’Brien, who was a state senator. She is married to Jim Kyle. Career Kyle was elected to the Public Service Commission in 1994. Tennessee's 30th Senate District
Tennessee's 30th Senate district is one of 33 districts in the Tennessee Senate. It has been represented by Democrat Sara Kyle since 2015, succeeding her husband, fellow Democrat Jim Kyle. Geography District 30 is based in Memphis, covering much of the city's Downtown, North, and East neighborhoods. The district is located almost entirely within Tennessee's 9th congressional district, with a small section extending into the 8th district. Jimmy Naifeh
James O. Naifeh (born June 16, 1939), usually known as Jimmy Naifeh, is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party from the State of Tennessee. He served as the Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives from 1991 to 2009, serving longer in that position than anyone else in Tennessee history. Early life Naifeh is a second-generation Lebanese-American from Covington, a town north of Memphis. His family was in the grocery business and has hosted an annual Naifeh Family Coon Supper since 1945. Following his graduation from the University of Tennessee, Naifeh served in the United States Army as an infantry officer.
