Sara Cwynar
Sara Cwynar is a contemporary artist who works with photography, collage, installation and book-making. Cwynar was born in Vancouver, Canada in 1985 and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Cwynar's work presents a marriage of old and new forms that are intended to challenge the way that people encounter visual and material culture in everyday life. Early life and education Cwynar grew up in Vancouver, Canada. She studied English literature at the University of British Columbia and eventually earned a Bachelor of Design Honours degree from York University in Toronto in 2010. She earned an MFA in Photography from Yale University in 2016. Cwynar has previously worked as a freelance graphic designer for The New York Times. Foxy Production
Foxy Production is a New York contemporary art gallery founded by Michael Gillespie and John Thomson. Foxy Production, established in 2003, is currently located in Chinatown, New York City. Windowed on three sides and housed within a landmark Victorian building, the gallery space is designed by London architects Matheson Whiteley. Foxy Production inaugurated its gallery program in January 2003 after a series of intermittent projects between 2001 and 2002. The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art is an art museum that is part of Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. The Nerman Museum is named for donors Jerry and Margaret Nerman. Kadist is an interdisciplinary contemporary arts organization with an international contemporary art collection. In addition to being a collecting body, Kadist hosts artists residencies and produces exhibitions, publications, and public events.
