Badajoz
Badajoz (; formerly written ''Badajos'' in English) is the capital of the Province of Badajoz in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. Alba Mellado (born 18 March 1992) is a Spanish football striker, currently playing for Santa Teresa. Football career With Rayo Vallecano, Mellado took part in the 2011–12 Champions League. During her time at Madrid CFF, she was captain on a number of occasions. In addition to playing for Madrid CFF, she also held a coaching role in the children's teams. In August 2020, Mellado agreed to extend her contract at Madrid for a further season, however, she announced her sudden departure from the club in January 2021 having spent seven seasons at the club. Alejandrina Mireya Luis Hernández, often referred to as Mireya (born August 25, 1967 in Camagüey) is a retired Cuban volleyball player. Life At the age of 10 she started playing volleyball. At 16, Mireya joined the Cuban national team for the 1983 Pan-American Games, in which Cuba took first place. She would play with them again in the 1987 Games, and Cuba would again win the tournament. After a brief hiatus due to injury, she resumed play in 1990 at the World Championship in Japan where the Cuban team finished fourth. In 1991 she led the Cuban team to win its first ever World Cup in Mexico . Mireya won her first Olympic gold medal at the 1992 Games in Barcelona with team mate Regla Bell. She would win a second gold in Atlanta in 1996, again playing with the Cuban national team. The Segunda Federación is the third tier of the Spanish women's football league system, beginning with the 2022–23 season. With a format of two regionalised groups, it is the female equivalent of the men's Primera Federación and is run by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The 2019–20 Segunda División Pro, named Reto Iberdrola for sponsorship reasons, was the inaugural season edition of the new Spanish women's football second-tier league. The league started on 7 September 2019 and will end on 17 May 2020. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the league, revoking relegations and naming Eibar and Santa Teresa as promoted teams. Teams and locations 32 teams took part, 30 moving up from the 2018–19 Segunda División and 2 relegated from the 2018–19 Primera División. Atlántida Matamá resigned to its place in the league.
