Santa Clara, Chiriquí
Santa Clara is a ''corregimiento'' (subdistrict) in Renacimiento District, Chiriquí Province, Panama. It has a land area of and had a population of 2,642 as of 2010, giving it a population density of . The corregimiento was created by Law 41 of April 30, 2003. The area includes a transient population of Ngöbe and other indigenous people who labor in the fields. It is located approximately northwest of Volcán. Rio Sereno, the governmental seat of the Renacimiento district, and the Costa Rican border are about 6 kilometers to the west. Its primary source of income is coffee, supplemented by other crops. It is home to Cafe Duran (whose coffee is widely distributed in Panama), Finca Hartman, Cafe Balboa and Cafe Flor de Chiriquí, and some APAASAC producers of organic, shade grown coffee. Cordillera De Talamanca
The Cordillera de Talamanca is a mountain range that lies in the southeast half of Costa Rica and the far west of Panama. Much of the range and the area around it is included in La Amistad International Park, which also is shared between the two countries. This range in the south of Costa Rica stretches from southwest of San José to beyond the border with Panama and contains the highest peaks of both Costa Rica and Panama, among them Cerro Chirripó at 3,820 m, and the more accessible high peak of Cerro de la Muerte. The Mesoamerican Biological Corridor (MBC) is a region that consists of Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and some southern states of Mexico. The area acts as a natural land bridge from South America to North America, which is important for species who use the bridge in migration. Volcán, Panama
Volcán is a town and corregimiento in Tierras Altas District, Chiriquí Province, Panama. It has a land area of and had a population of 12,717 as of 2010, giving it a population density of . Its population as of 1990 was 7,146; its population as of 2000 was 10,188. Volcan sits on an old lava flow from Volcán Barú, the highest point in Panama at 3,475 metres (11,460 feet).
