Sandhuravirey
''Sandhuravirey'' is a 2002 Maldivian horror film directed by Amjad Ibrahim. Produced by Hassan Ali under Dash Studio, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu and Mariyam Nisha in pivotal roles. Premise Dhiyash (Yoosuf Shafeeu), a poor young boy who lives in a hut with his father, meets a beautiful lady, Yaasha (Mariyam Nisha) at the beach. They instantly like each other and starts dating before she reveals herself to be a jinn. Deceived, Dhiyash calls their relationship off and warns her not to meet him ever again. Yaasha, later disguised as a wise woman, Zaleesha (Mariyam Haleem) helped him to learn basic elements needed for opening a business and indirectly assists him in locating and selling an ambergris. Yoosuf Shafeeu
Yoosuf Shafeeu also known as Eupe (20 October 1975) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director. One of the most successful filmmakers and actors in Maldivian Cinema, Shafeeu is the recipient of a number of awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards, and a Maldives Film Award; ; holding the record of collecting maximum Gaumee Film Award for Best Actor. In 2003, the Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. Amjad Ibrahim
Amjad Ibrahim Didi (born 11 September 1967), commonly known as Amjad Ibrahim is a Maldivian film director and screenwriter. Early life After completing eleven years of service in Maldives National Defence Force, Ibrahim decided to pursue a career in film direction due to his "fondness" towards film-making process. His first work as a director was Naifaru Dhohokko's video single "Maslahathu Neiy An'binney", followed by directing six songs for the television program, ''Maazeege Handhaan''. Mariyam Nisha
Mariyam Nisha (born 19 May 1979) is a Maldivian former actress. Early life Nisha was born on 19 May 1979 in Dh. Rinbudhoo. She recalled her childhood days as a "disturbing chapter" of life where she had to refrain from enjoying with friends due to a skin problem. At the age of twelve, she got married and a year later, they were blessed with their first child. Fathimath Rauf (7 October 1959) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Fathimath Rauf was born and raised in the "Masodi family" where several local artists emerged as prominent singers.
