Samsun Stadium
Samsun Stadium, officially the new Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadium, is a football stadium in Tekkeköy, Samsun, Turkey. It was opened in 2017 with a seating capacity of 33,919 spectators. It is the new home ground of Samsunspor which plays in the TFF First League. It replaced the club's former home ground, the old Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadium (at a different location), which was demolished in 2018. Tekkeköy
Tekkeköy is a district of Samsun Province in Turkey located on the western side of the Çarşamba Plain. The Mayor of Tekkeköy Municipality is Hasan Togar. Agriculture and animal breeding are the main sources of income. Black Sea Copper Works Inc., Samsun Azot Factory, the Organized Industry Site, Industrial Site and Organized Food Industry Site, fertilizer and forging industry, along with a power plant, many surgical instrument manufacturing companies and other manufacturers have facilitated an economically dynamic area. It is on the coast of the Black Sea and located on the 13th km of the Samsun–Trabzon highway, east of Çarşamba District. Tekkeköy is an easy ride from Samsun with plenty of transport options. Sakaryaspor Kulübü Derneği is a Turkish professional football club, formed in 1965 after the merger of ''Adapazarı Gençlerbirliği'', ''Adapazarı İdman Yurdu'', ''Güneşspor'' and ''Ada Gençlik''. The club is better known as Sakaryaspor. The football club is nicknamed the "Football Factory" by Turkish football scene because of the many national footballers born and raised in the city. TFF First League
The TFF 1. Lig, officially known as Spor Toto 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The league was called ''Türk Telekom Lig A'' in the 2006–2007 season, and was renamed to ''TFF First League'' prior to the 2007–08 season. As of 16 January 2008 the league was renamed as Bank Asya 1. Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadium, also known as Canik 19 Mayıs Stadium, ( tr, Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadyumu or ''Canik 19 Mayıs Stadyumu'') was a multi-purpose stadium in the Canik district of Samsun, northern Turkey. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of Samsunspor until the new Samsun Stadium was opened in 2017. The stadium had a seating capacity for 19,720 spectators. It was demolished in 2018. The stadium was named in remembrance of the landing of Mustafa Kemal Pasha (1881–1938) in Samsun on May 19, 1919 to start the national independence movement.
