Oregon Route 234 is an Oregon state highway which runs between the city of Gold Hill, Oregon and the town of Eagle Point. Known as the Sams Valley Highway No. 271 (see Oregon highways and routes), it extends for , entirely within Jackson County. Route description OR 234 begins, at its western terminus, at an interchange with Interstate 5 in Gold Hill. For the first several miles of the highway's existence, it is concurrent with Oregon Route 99, which departs from the freeway to serve Gold Hill. In the city center, OR 234 and OR 99 diverge; with the latter returning to the freeway. OR 234 then heads northeast, passing through the northern edge of the Rogue Valley and the Cascade foothills. Roseburg is a city in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is in the Umpqua River, Umpqua River Valley in southern Oregon and is the county seat and most populous city of Douglas County, Oregon, Douglas County. Gold Hill, Oregon
Gold Hill is a city in Jackson County, Oregon, in the United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 1,335. It is along a bend of the Rogue River. History The City's name comes from a nearby hill that was the location of a 19th-century gold discovery, on "Big Bar” on the Rogue River in the early 1850s. In 1852, Colonel William T'Vault and family made a claim, naming it Dardanelles, on the south side of the Rogue. Interstate 5 (I-5) in the U.S. state of Oregon is a major Interstate Highway that traverses the state from north to south. It travels to the west of the Cascade Mountains, connecting Portland to Salem, Eugene, Medford, and other major cities in the Willamette Valley and across the northern Siskiyou Mountains. Eagle Point, Oregon
Eagle Point is a city in Jackson County, Oregon, Jackson County, Oregon, United States. The population was 8,469 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census, up from 4,798 at the 2000 census.
