Sammee Tong
Sammee Tong (April 21, 1901 – October 27, 1964) was an American film and television character actor. One of Tong's more notable roles was that of Peter Tong on the sitcom '' Bachelor Father'', which aired on all three national networks from 1957 to 1962. Early life and career Born in San Francisco, Tong lived in Palo Alto before moving with his family to Honolulu. He graduated from Stanford University. Tong attempted to break into acting on the stage during the Depression, forming an act called the Three Celestials that played in neighborhood theaters and was booked into the Los Angeles Orpheum. He found he could not secure acting roles because of his ethnicity. He worked in Chinese nightclubs in New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, where he sang and performed comedy routines. ''Bachelor Father'' is an American sitcom starring John Forsythe, Noreen Corcoran and Sammee Tong. The series first premiered on CBS in September 1957 before moving to NBC for the third season in 1959. The series' fifth and final season aired on ABC. A total of 157 episodes were aired. The series was based on "A New Girl in His Life", which aired on ''General Electric Theater'' on May 26, 1957. ''Spin and Marty'' is a series of television shorts that aired as part of ''The Mickey Mouse Club'' show of the mid-1950s, produced by Walt Disney and broadcast on the ABC network in the United States. There were three serials in all, set at the Triple R Ranch, a boys' western-style summer camp. The first series of 25 eleven-minute episodes, ''The Adventures of Spin and Marty'', was filmed in 1955. Its popularity led to two sequels — ''The Further Adventures of Spin and Marty'' in 1956 and ''The New Adventures of Spin and Marty'' in 1957. The serials were based on the 1942 novel ''Marty Markham'' by Lawrence Edward Watkin. Barbiturate Overdose
Barbiturate overdose is poisoning due to excessive doses of barbiturates. Symptoms typically include difficulty thinking, poor coordination, decreased level of consciousness, and a decreased effort to breathe (respiratory depression).
