Sammamish ( ) is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 67,455 at the 2020 census. Located on a plateau, the city is bordered by Lake Sammamish to the west and the Snoqualmie Valley to the east. Sammamish is a residential and very wealthy suburb of Seattle, located 20 miles away, with many residents commuting to nearby businesses. The city was incorporated in 1999 and is the richest city with more than 5,000 people by median household income in Washington state. In 2019, it was also named the richest city in the U.S. among cities with a population greater than 65,000 people. Fall City is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States, east of Seattle. The community lies along the Snoqualmie River and Raging River. The population was 1,993 at the 2010 census. History The first settlements in the area were two forts built in 1856 during the Puget Sound War to protect future settlers against possible uprisings by the native population. Fort Patterson, a few miles downstream, and Fort Tilton, a few miles upstream, were built with the help of Indians led by Chief Patkanim, and both were abandoned within two years after interactions with the local tribes remained peaceful. A historical marker can be found north of Fall City on the Fish Hatchery Road where Fort Tilton once stood. Carnation is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 2,158 at the 2020 census. It was historically known as Tolt () and lies at the confluence of the Snoqualmie and Tolt rivers. The city is located east of Redmond and south of Duvall on State Route 203. Pine Lake is a lake located in the city of Sammamish, Washington, about 20 miles east of downtown Seattle. Surrounded by private homes and a city park, it is a popular recreation and fishing spot. Pine Lake Park Renovated in 2004, Pine Lake Park sits on the east shore of the lake and includes a swimming beach, boat launch (non-motorized only), picnic tables, play structures, basketball court, climbing walls, and a large baseball field. Beaver Lake (King County, Washington)
Beaver Lake is a 79-acre (0.3 km) lake completely within the city limits of Sammamish, Washington. The Beaver Lake watershed is 1,043 acres (4.2 km); the mean depth is 21 feet (6.4 m), and the maximum depth is 50 feet (15 m). Beaver Lake is actually a chain of one main and two smaller lakes, with the main lake getting the bulk of the recreation focus. Beaver Lake is part of a chain of three lakes: Long Lake, Beaver Lake, and a third unnamed lake, East of Lake Sammamish. It is drained by Laughing Jacobs Creek, a tributary of Lake Sammamish. There is public access via Beaver Lake Park, located at the southwest corner of the lake.
