MS ''Vistafjord'' was an ocean liner that was built as a combined liner/cruise ship in 1973 by Swan Hunter Shipbuilders in the United Kingdom for the Norwegian America Line. In 1983 she was sold to Cunard Line, retaining her original name until 1999 when she was renamed ''Caronia''. In 2004 she was sold to Saga and sailed as ''Saga Ruby'' until sold in 2014 for use as a floating hotel and renamed ''Oasia''. This never came to fruition. Her owners went bankrupt, and in April 2017 she arrived at Alang, India for scrapping. Concept and construction ''Vistafjord'' was ordered by Norwegian America Line (NAL) from Swan Hunter Shipbuilders, Newcastle upon Tyne, Newcastle, United Kingdom. She was based on the company's 1965-built , but with an enlarged hull, additional superstructure deck and improved interior layout. Norwegian America Line
The Norwegian America Line ( no, Den Norske Amerikalinje), was a shipping line, originally an operator of ocean liners and cargo ships. Founded in 1910, the company ran a regular transatlantic service between Norway and the United States, and later included a route to East Africa as well. Primarily due to competition from air travel, transatlantic passenger voyages were slowly discontinued during the years. After the Great War, the company was one of Norway’s largest shipping lines, owning a fleet that included 19 vessels, several of which were for commercial cargo transport. After the Second World War heavy ships losses were overcome by the building of new vessels, however the reduction in the passengers’ traffic by sea shifted the company’s focus mainly to the cargo business, including container and bulk shipping from the 1970s. Swan Hunter, formerly known as Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson, is a shipbuilding design, engineering, and management company, based in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, England. At its apex, the company represented the combined forces of three powerful shipbuilding families: Swan, Hunter and Wigham Richardson. MV ''Boudicca'' (also known as Royal Viking Sky, Sunward, Birka Queen, Golden Princess, SuperStar Capricorn, Hyundai Keumgang, SuperStar Capricorn and Grand Latino) was a ''Royal Viking Star''-class cruise ship that last served as accommodation vessel at Pendik, near Tuzla Shipyard. MS ''Black Watch'' was a ''Royal Viking Star''-class cruise ship. She was built by Wärtsilä Hietalahti shipyard, Helsinki Shipyard, Finland for Royal Viking Line as ''Royal Viking Star'', entering service in 1972 as the lines first ship. She has also sailed for Norwegian Cruise Lines as ''Westward'' and Royal Cruise Line as ''Star Odyssey''. As of June 18, 2022 she has been beached for scrapping at Alang, India. The Royal Viking Line was an upmarket cruise line that operated from 1972 until 1998. The company was the brain child of Warren Titus and had its headquarters at One Embarcadero Center in San Francisco. Austin Metro
The Metro is a supermini car, later a city car that was produced by British Leyland (BL) and, later, the Rover Group from 1980 to 1998. It was launched in 1980 as the Austin mini Metro.
