SV Jai Hanuman
Sporting Vereniging Jai Hanuman is a Surinamese football club based in Livorno. The club presently competes in the Eerste Klasse, the 2nd tier of Surinamese football. The club is a part of the Livorno Sportorganisatie (LSO), and the owner is V. Hardwarsing. Named after the Hindu God Hanuman, Jai Hanuman earned promotion into the Hoofdklasse after winning the Surinamese Eerste Klasse in 2006. They finished in 5th place in the 2006–07 Hoofdklasse season, with Brazilian striker Alex Pereira Soares finishing as the league top goal scorer with 28 goals scored. Eddy Blackman Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Livorno, Suriname. It is home to SVB Hoofdklasse club SCSV Takdier Boys and SVB Eerste Klasse outfits, SV Jai Hanuman and SCSV Kamal Dewaker. Hanuman (; sa, हनुमान, ), also called Anjaneya (), is a Hindu god and a divine '' vanara'' companion of the god Rama. Hanuman is one of the central characters of the Hindu epic ''Ramayana''. Alex Pereira Soares (born February 1, 1982) known as Alex, is a Brazilian footballer who last played as a forward for Walking Boyz Company in the SVB Hoofdklasse. He finished the 2006–07 season as the league's top scorer while playing for SV Jai Hanuman. Career Born in Belém, Brazil, Alex moved to Paramaribo, Suriname joining SV Jai Hanuman competing in the SVB Eerste Klasse, the 2nd tier of football in Suriname.
