The Southeast University School of Architecture (SEU Arch, ) is one of the professional schools of Southeast University in Nanjing, China. Founded in 1927, SEU School of Architecture is the oldest school of architecture in China and one of the most prestigious. Great Hall Of The People
The Great Hall of the People is a state building located at the western edge of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It is used for legislative and ceremonial activities by the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the ruling Chinese Communist Party. The People's Great Hall functions as the meeting place for the full sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC), the Chinese legislature, which occurs every year during March along with the national session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a political advisory body. Dai Fudong
Dai Fudong (; 25 April 1928 – 25 February 2018) was a Chinese architect. He was a lifelong professor of Tongji University and the founding director of the university's Institute of High-tech Building Technology. He was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1999. He emphasized the use of local and natural materials in his designs, and summarized his design philosophy as "modern bones, traditional soul, and natural clothing". Over a career spanning more than 50 years, Dai and his wife Wu Lusheng designed about 100 projects together. Zhong Xunzheng
Zhong Xunzheng (; 9 July 1929 – 22 June 2023) was a Chinese architect, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Biography Zhong was born in Wugang County (now Wugang), Hunan, on 9 July 1929. In 1948, he enrolled at National Central University, and graduated from Nanjing University (now Southeast University School of Architecture) in 1952. After university, he taught at Hunan University and soon moved to the Water Conservancy College of Wuhan University the next year. In November 1954, he joined the faculty of Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University). He died of an illness in Nanjing, Jiangsu on 22 June 2023, aged 93. Cheng Taining (; born 9 December 1935) is a Chinese architect. He is Director of the Design and Theoretical Research Center of Southeast University and Chief Architect of . Biography Cheng was born 9 December 1935 in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. He graduated from the Southeast University School of Architecture, School of Architecture of Nanjing Institute of Technology (now part of Southeast University). In 1984 Cheng became director and chief architect of the Hangzhou Architectural Design Institute. Wu Liangyong
Wu Liangyong (, born 7 May 1922) is a Chinese architect and urban planner. He was a former professor in urban planning, architecture, and design. In preparation to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he was leading the team that studied the buildings of the games. He is considered the most influential architect and urban planner in China. Life Wu was born in Nanjing on 7 May 1922. In 1944, he obtained a bachelor's degree in architecture at the National Central University (now Nanjing University) in Chongqing, and a master's degree at the American Guangxi Art Academy. He also studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in the United States.
