Sony Max (known popularly as Set Max) is an Indian pay television entertainment channel which is a sister channel to Sony Entertainment Television, operated by Culver Max Entertainment. The channel started broadcasting on 20 July 1999 and is available internationally. It launched a HD simulcast version on 25 December 2015. Programming Its main audience attraction, other than Hindi-language movies, was the Twenty20 cricket tournament Indian Premier League (IPL), which the channel had been broadcasting since the tournament's launch in 2008 till 2017, after which it sold the broadcasting rights to Star Sports. It also airs complimentary cricket talk show programmes like Extraaa Innings T20. It occasionally airs Hollywood movies and WWE matches in Hindi. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Sony Pal (stylised as Sony पल) (Hindi for Moment) is an Indian pay television channel that was launched on 1 September 2014. It was initially aimed at women with women-oriented Hindi language, Hindi-language programming, now focused on family-oriented programming. The channel is owned by Culver Max Entertainment. The channel is available on Dish Network and Sling TV in USA. History Sony Pal was launched on 1 September 2014 originally as a pay-TV channel, with Juhi Chawla as its ambassador. Sony TEN
Sony Sports Network, formerly Sony Pictures Sports Network, and also known as Sony TEN, is a group of Indian pay television sports channels owned by Culver Max Entertainment (formerly Sony Pictures Networks India). The original TEN Sports channel was first established on 1 April 2002 by Abdul Rahman Bukhatir. It was acquired by Essel Group in 2010, and was added to Essel's existing Zee Sports channel, launched in 2005. After the acquisition, Zee launched two new channels, TEN Cricket and TEN Golf, and rebranded Zee Sports as TEN Action. Sony BBC Earth is an Indian pay television channel owned by BBC Studios and Culver Max Entertainment.
