Sønner Av Norge (film)
''Sønner av Norge'' (Sons of Norway) is a Norwegian comedy film from 1961 directed by Øyvind Vennerød. The script was written by Jørn Ording and Vennerød. Among others, Inger Marie Andersen, Odd Borg, Turid Balke, Arne Bang-Hansen, and Willie Hoel appear in the roles of the residents of Solbråten. The film was followed by the sequel '' Sønner av Norge kjøper bil''. Plot In Solbråten, the men are so busy with the residents' association, community work, and the Norwegian Home Guard that they hardly have time to eat before they take a nap in the middle of the day. The fact that they also have to show up at work does not make life any easier. The acting dispatcher at the Solbråten post office, Gunnar Sørensen, is chairman of the main committee. He is assisted by the tax appraisal secretary Baltzersen (who has a telephone) and the master butcher Anton Andersen. Kari Diesen (née Heide-Steen; 24 June 1914 – 18 March 1987) was a Norwegian singer and revue actress. Knut Risan (19 February 1930 – 1 February 2011) was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Trondheim, and made his stage debut at Nationaltheatret in 1956. He was employed here until 1998, and had guest appearances at the Norwegian National Opera, Den Nationale Scene and Riksteatret. Arve Opsahl (14 May 1921 – 29 April 2007) was a Norwegian movie and stage actor, singer and stand-up comedian. Opsahl began his career as a comedian in 1942, and played numerous roles both on stage and in more than forty movies. He was then chosen to be the head of Olsenbanden, Egon Olsen. Randi Nilie Nordby Johnson (May 15, 1926 – March 28, 1991) was a Norwegian actress. She was engaged with the Oslo New Theater for many years. Arvid Nilssen (25 December 1913 – 24 March 1976) was a Norwegian actor, revue artist and singer. He was regarded as one of the leading comedians in Norwegian revue. Nynorsk () () is one of the two written standards of the Norwegian language, the other being Bokmål.
