Erling Lindahl
Erling Lindahl (Juni 23, 1903 – August 8, 1973) was a Norwegian actor and stage director. Lindahl debuted in 1933 at the Comedy Theater ( no, Komediateatret) in Bergen and later performed at the National Theater. He appeared in many films and performed at various theaters. Lindahl played several strong character roles. He frequently appeared on NRK's Radio Theater. From 1967 until his death in 1973, Lindahl was engaged with the National Traveling Theater. Bergen (), historically Bjørgvin, is a city and municipality in Vestland county on the west coast of Norway. , its population is roughly 285,900. Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway. ''Hans Nielsen Hauge'' is a Norwegian film from 1961 directed by Kåre Bergstrøm. It is a dramatization of the life of the lay minister Hans Nielsen Hauge (1771–1824). The film received a lukewarm reception from ''Verdens Gangs reviewer, who gave it three out of six stars. Plot The film opens in 1804, when Crown Prince Regent Frederick is ruling Denmark–Norway. The Royal Danish Chancellery has issued an arrest warrant for Hans Nielsen Hauge. The arrest warrant is sent to all the county governors in Norway, and Hauge is taken to Christiania in irons. The film follows the trial against Hauge. An impression of his past life and work is given in retrospect. The case against Hauge lasted many years because Copenhagen found no reason to hurry. This was a turning point in Norway, and Napoleon was building an empire in Europe. The case was not concluded until 1813. ''Smuglere'' (The Smugglers) is a Norwegian crime film from 1968 directed by Rolf Clemens. The screenplay was written by Liv Clemens, who based it on Arthur Omre's 1935 novel of the same name. Plot In the 1920s, the unemployed architect Ernst accidentally enters a smuggling ring, and his gray and desolate existence is replaced by a lush, brazen, and colorful world. He is in love with Klara, but she leaves him. Jenny becomes his close friend. Together with Hugo and Elsa, the pair make several smuggling trips by car, with a large—but not sufficient—profit. It is only when Ernst invests in boats that the smuggling really takes off. He operates along the entire Oslo Fjord and all the way down to Rotterdam.
