Søm
Søm is a district in the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. With a population of about 9,500 (2022), it is the third largest district in Kristiansand. The district is a part of the borough of Oddernes. Søm has borders with the district of Hånes to the north, the district of Randesund to the east and south, and the Topdalsfjorden to the west. Søm is the second most wealthy district in Kristiansand after Lund. Søm Church is located in the district. Oddernes is a List of boroughs of Kristiansand, borough in the Kristiansand (town), city of Kristiansand which lies in the municipality of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. The borough covers eastern Kristiansand on the east side of the Topdalsfjorden and the Varodd Bridge. The borough includes the former municipalities of Randesund (municipality), Randesund and Tveit (municipality), Tveit. There was a municipality of Oddernes (municipality), Oddernes from 1838 until 1965, but its boundaries were very different from those of the present-day borough. Name The borough (originally the prestegjeld, parish) is named after the old ''Oddernæs'' farm (Old Norse: ''Otruness''). Søm Church
Søm Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Kristiansand Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the district of Søm in the borough of Oddernes in the Kristiansand (town), city of Kristiansand. It is one of the churches for the Randesund parish which is part of the Kristiansand domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The red brick church was built in a Churches in Norway#Floor plan, fan-shaped design in 2004 using plans drawn up by the architects Arild Lauvland and Arne Åmland. The church seats about 450 people, but it can be expanded to seat up to about 650 people. Randesund is a village and district within the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. The district is located within the borough of Oddernes along the southern coastline between the two fjords Kvåsefjorden and Topdalsfjorden and south of the districts of Søm and Hånes. There are several small islands just off the coast of Randesund, including Dvergsøya, Randøya, and Herøya, all popular tourist destinations.
