The Sölvesborg Ladies Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour played between 1995 and 2018. It was included on the LET Access Series from 2013 to 2016. Sölvesborg (old da, Sølvesborg) is a locality and the seat of Sölvesborg Municipality in Blekinge County, Sweden with 10,024 inhabitants in 2013. Sölvesborg is, despite its small population, for historical reasons normally still referred to as a ''city''. Statistics Sweden, however, only counts localities with more than 10,000 inhabitants as cities. History of the city As the water from the Baltic Ice Lake withdrew, the land around present-day Sölvesborg became accessible to settlers from what today is Denmark. The first people to settle were farmers; remains of their presence have been found in the area dating back to the Stone Age, mostly in the area around Gammalstorp, Siretorp and Istaby. Sarah Schober
Sarah Schober (born 15 April 1992) is an Austrian professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She was runner-up at the 2022 Big Green Egg Open and won the 2016 LETAS Order of Merit. Amateur career Schober was born in Wagna, Austria and began playing golf at the age of eight. At twelve, she joined the National Team. She appeared three times at the Espirito Santo Trophy, and multiple times at the European Ladies' Team Championship, earning a silver medal in 2013 as Austria lost the final to Spain 5 to 2. Schober finished her finals singles match against Camilla Hedberg all square. Schober attended Redlands Community College in Oklahoma for four semesters, and won the NJCAA Championship back to back in 2012 and 2013. She then played with the Florida Gators women's golf team while attending the University of Florida in Gainesville for two semesters, majoring in telecommunications. The 2013 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through November 2013 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. Emma Westin
Emma Westin (born 23 Juli 1991) is a Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour. In 2014 she won the LET Access Series Order of Merit and became the first player to win three LETAS tournaments in a single season, and first to win back to back titles. Career Westin grew up in Borås and began playing at the age of seven. She was accepted to the Scandinavian School of Golf at Halmstad University in 2011, and turned pro the following year. She played on the Swedish Golf Tour between 2011 and 2013. Lynn Carlsson (born 7 May 1994) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. She last played on the Ladies European Tour 2015–2019 and finished runner-up at the 2019 Women's NSW Open. Career Carlsson grew up in Varberg and graduated 2013 from one of the two Swedish National Golf High Schools in south of Sweden before she became a professional golfer the same year and attended one of Sweden's national the Scandinavian School of Golf in Halmstad.
