Séamus Hennessy (hurler, Born 1956)
Séamus Hennessy (born 1956) is an Irish former hurling, hurler. At club level he played with Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA, Kilruane MacDonaghs and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Career Hennessy first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA, Kilruane MacDonaghs. He is the only player to have lined out in six consecutive divisional under-21 finals and is one of only a handful of players to have won four consecutive Tipperary U21AHC titles with the club from 1973 to 1976. Hennessy was the youngest ever Kilruane player to line out in a North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, North Tipperary SHC final when he did so as a 17-year-old in 1973. Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA
Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the villages of Kilruane, Ardcroney and Cloughjordan. The club was founded in 1937 and is named after Thomas MacDonagh, a signatory of the 1916 Proclamation who was born and lived in Cloughjordan. The clubhouse and playing field are located in Cloughjordan. The finest day in the club's history was in 1986 when it won the Senior Hurling Club All-Ireland title, defeating Buffers Alley of Wexford GAA in the final by 1-15 to 2-10. The club incorporates many of clubs that existed in the parishes at the time. A forerunner to the MacDonaghs club was the famous De Wets formed in 1900. Séamus Hennessy (hurler, Born 1989)
Séamus Hennessy (born 1 May 1989) is an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary senior team. Hennessy made his first appearance for the team during the 2009 Waterford Crystal Cup. During that time he has won one All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship winners' medal on the field of play. At club level Hennessy plays with the Kilruane MacDonaghs club. Playing career Club Hennessy plays his club hurling with the Kilruane MacDonaghs club. He was part of the winning team that claimed a first Tipperary County Final victory since 1985 for Kilruane in 2022 University During his studies at NUI Galway, Hennessy became a key member of the university hurling team. The 2010 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 114th staging of Ireland's premier hurling competition since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887.
