Séamus Callanan
Séamus Callanan (born 15 September 1988) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Senior Championship club Drom & Inch and is the captain of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Often considered one of the best players of the current generation, Callanan has been a four-time nominee for Hurler of the Year, winning the award in 2019, and has won four All-Stars. He has won ten major trophies in his inter-county career, including three All-Ireland Championships, six Munster Championships and one National League. A prolific goalscorer, Callanan holds the Tipperary record for most championship goals scored (36) and is the confirmed joint second-highest goalscorer in championship history. Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship
The Munster GAA Hurling Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The championship was contested as the Munster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. It is sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy. The final, currently held in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a three-week period, and the results determine which team receives the J. J. Séamus Butler
Séamus Butler (born 1980 in Drom, County Tipperary) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Drom & Inch, and is a former Tipperary senior inter-county hurler. Early life Seamus Butler was born near Nenagh, County Tipperary in 1980. His father, Tommy Butler, played with Tipperary in the 1970s and collected an All-Star award in 1978. Seamus Butler was educated locally and later attended the Tipperary Institute where he collected a Ryan Cup medal in 2003. Playing career Club Butler has played his club hurling with his local Drom & Inch club. At underage levels he won a county minor medal and two county under-21 titles. In 2005 Drom & Inch took on Thurles Sarsfields in the senior county final. In spite of losing the game Butler scored 11 points in that game. Thurles Sarsfields is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "Mid-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The 2005 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship was the 115th staging of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887. Toomevara were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Thurles Sarsfields at the quarter-final stage. On 16 October 2005, Thurles Sarsfields won the championship after a 1-17 to 0-15 defeat of Drom-Inch in the final at Semple Stadium. Fitzgibbon Cup
The Fitzgibbon Cup ( ga, Corn Mhic Giobúin) is the trophy for the premier hurling championship among higher education institutions (universities, colleges and institutes of technology) in Ireland. The Fitzgibbon Cup competition is administered by Comhairle Ard Oideachais Cumann Lúthchleas Gael (CLG), the GAA's Higher Education Council. Comhairle Ard Oideachais also oversees the Ryan Cup (tier 2 hurling championship), the Fergal Maher Cup (tier 3 hurling championship) and the Padraig MacDiarmada (tier 4 hurling championship). Borrisoleigh
Borrisoleigh () is a small town in County Tipperary, Ireland. At the 2016 census, it had a population of 679. In recent years the population has exceeded 1,000 while historically the population has been around 8,000. It is in the ecclesiastical parish of Borrisoleigh and Ileigh in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 132nd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887.
