Szob District
Szob ( hu, Szobi járás) is a district in northern part of Pest County. ''Szob'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Central Hungary Statistical Region. Geography Szob District borders with the Slovakian region of Nitra to the north and west, Balassagyarmat District, Rétság District ''(Nógrád County)'' and Vác District to the east, Szentendre District to the south, Esztergom District ''(Komárom-Esztergom County)'' to the southwest. Districts of Hungary are the second-level divisions of Hungary after counties. They replaced the 175 subregions of Hungary in 2013. Altogether, there are 174 districts in the 19 counties, and there are 23 districts in Budapest. Verőce, Hungary
Verőce is a village and commune in Pest County in Hungary. From 1976 to 1990 the village of Verőce was merged with the village of Kismaros, to create a new merged settlement called Verőcemaros. Nagybörzsöny
Nagybörzsöny (german: Deutschpilsen or ) is a village in Pest County, Hungary. Location Nagybörzsöny is a village in the Börzsöny Mountains. It is near the National Park of Duna-Ipoly. The Börzsöny-creek flows through the village. History The earlier name of this village was ''Börzsöny'' and it was, in all probability, founded in the 12th century by King Géza II of Hungary. In medieval times, it was able to grow into a full-fledged mining town due to its proximity to various ores, including gold. Documents dating from 1312 already describe these mines. However, the most significant part in the mines' history took place in the eighteenth century. In 1789, Pál Kitaibel officially discovered the element Tellurium in the Nagybörzsöny ores.
