Syria Cup
The Syrian Cup ( ar, سوريا) is Syria's premier knockout Cup tournament in men's football. It was first contested in 1959. Al-Ittihad SC has won the competition on 10 occasions. The final was first played in the 1960-61 season during the UAR era and won by Al-Majd SC. The tournament has been held annually since then except for the 1963, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1977 seasons. The record for consecutive wins in the competition is four titles, only two teams have achieved such as Al-Karamah and Al-Fotuwa. Al-Ittihad are the current title holders. Syrian Football Federation
The Syrian Arab Football Association (SFA; ar, الاتحاد العربي السوري لكرة القدم) is the governing body of football in Syria, controlling the Syrian national team and the Syrian Premier League. The Syrian Football Association was founded in 1936 and has been a member of FIFA since 1937, the Asian Football Confederation since 1970, and the Sub-confederation regional body West Asian Football Federation since 2001. 2009–10 Syrian Cup
The 2009-10 version of the Syrian Cup is the 40th edition to be played. It is the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Syria. Al-Karamah went into this edition as the holders. The cup winner were guaranteed a place in the 2011 AFC Cup. First round 32 teams play a knockout tie. 16 clubs advance to the next round. Extra-time
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same.
