Sylvia Lehmann
Sylvia Lehmann (born 23 April 1954) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Brandenburg since 2019. Political career Between 2004 and 2019 Lehmann was a member of the State Parliament of Brandenburg. Lehmann has been a member of the German Bundestag since 3 December 2019, representing the Dahme-Spreewald – Teltow-Fläming III – Oberspreewald-Lausitz I constituency. Bundestag
The Bundestag (, "Federal Diet") is the German federal parliament. It is the only federal representative body that is directly elected by the German people. It is comparable to the United States House of Representatives or the House of Commons of the United Kingdom. Drebkau
Drebkau ( dsb, Drjowk) is a town in the district of Spree-Neiße, in Lower Lusatia, Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated 14 km southwest of Cottbus. History From 1815 to 1947, Drebkau was part of the Prussian Province of Brandenburg. Federal Foundation For The Reappraisal Of The SED Dictatorship
The Federal Foundation for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship (german: Bundesstiftung zur Aufarbeitung der SED-Diktatur, alternatively translated as "(Federal) Foundation for the Study of Communist Dictatorship in East Germany") is a government-funded organisation established in 1998 by the German parliament. Its mandate is to assess the history (1949–1990) of the socialist regime of the German Democratic Republic (GDR, commonly known as East Germany), and its impact on the now reunified Germany. As its logo, the foundation uses the former East German flag minus its coat of arms. In the final months of the GDR, many East German citizens cut out the flag's emblem in this manner. Dahme-Spreewald – Teltow-Fläming III – Oberspreewald-Lausitz I
Dahme-Spreewald ( dsb, Wokrejs Damna-Błota) is a district in Brandenburg, Germany. It is bounded by (from the east and clockwise) the districts of Oder-Spree, Spree-Neiße, Oberspreewald-Lausitz, Elbe-Elster and Teltow-Fläming, and by the city of Berlin. History The Spreewald region has always been a centre of Sorbian culture. In medieval times the cities of Lübben and Luckau had successively been capitals of the margravate of Lower Lusatia. From 1815 on Lower Lusatia was a part of Prussia. Throughout the 19th century the region remained an agriculturally used area, some urbanisation taking place in the very north (close to Berlin) only. When the state of Brandenburg was newly founded in 1990, the districts of Lübben, Luckau and Königs Wusterhausen had been established. In 1993 the three districts were merged.
