Saint Saviour, Guernsey
St Saviour (Guernésiais: Saint Sauveux; ) is one of the ten parishes of Guernsey. It is situated on the west coast of the island, west of the parish of Castel, east of St Pierre du Bois, and south of Perelle bay. People from Saint Sauveux were nicknamed "fouormillaons" in Guernésiais, the insular Norman language of the island. The postal code for street addresses in this parish begins with GY7. Priaulx League
The Priaulx League is the senior football league on the island of Guernsey, and is run by the Guernsey Football League Management LBG, (prior to 2016 the Guernsey Football Association). Although the league is affiliated with the English FA, it does not form a part of the English football league system. The winners of the Priaulx League go on to play the champions of the Jersey Combination for the Upton Park Trophy. History The competition was first held in 1893; it is named in honour of O. Priaulx of Bury St. Edmunds, who donated £5 to purchase a trophy. There are two other league competitions on the island (the Jackson League and Veterans League), but there is no promotion or relegation into or from these leagues. Guernsey (; Guernésiais: ''Guernési''; french: Guernesey) is an island in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy that is part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a British Crown Dependency. It is the second largest of the Channel Islands, an island group roughly north of Saint-Malo and west of the Cotentin Peninsula. Guernsey Football Association
The Guernsey Football Association, also simply known as the Guernsey FA or the GFA, is the body that co-ordinates and organises the sport of football in Guernsey. Although, as a Crown Dependency, Guernsey is not a part of the United Kingdom, the local FA is affiliated with the English FA, and acts as a county football association. Organisation The organisation runs the Guernsey national football team (which competes in the Muratti Vase and the Island Games), the Guernsey league representative XI (which competes in the FA National League System Cup) and the Priaulx League, the main league competition on the island.
