Syed Zulfiqar Ali Bokhari (died 4 January 2019) was a Pakistani politician and diplomat who was the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) between 1995 and 1998. He also served an ambassador of Pakistan to Spain. Pakistan Cricket Board
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is a sports governing body for cricket in Pakistan responsible for controlling and organising all tours and matches undertaken by the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, it represents the country's men's and women's national teams in international cricket tournaments played under the ICC. Following the establishment of Pakistan as an independent dominion of the British Empire in 1947, professional and amateur cricket commenced in the same year, seeing as local infrastructure had already been established when the country was part of the British Raj. Cricket matches were arranged informally until 1948, when a Board of Control was formally instituted. Aitchison College ( ur, ایچیسن کالج) is an independent, semi-private boys school for boarding and day students from grade 1–13 in Lahore, Pakistan. It has a tradition of providing an education that uses academics, sports, and co-curricular activities as tools for character development. The school follows a curriculum designed to culminate in the International General Certificate of Education and AS Level/A Level qualifications and is geared towards preparing students for university education. Syed Iftikhar Ali Bokhari (6 July 1935 – 10 November 2021), also known as I. A. Bokhari, was a Pakistani politician and cricketer. He was a member of the Senate of Pakistan between March 1988 and March 1991. He played 19 matches of first-class cricket between 1952 and 1966. Early life and education Bokhari was born on 6 July 1935 in Lahore, British India, to the Syed family of Jhang. He received his early education from Aitchison College.
