Syed Mohammad Qaisar
Syed Mohammad Qaisar (19 June 1940 – 11 February 2022) was a Bangladeshi Jatiya Party politician who served as a state minister, and as a member of the Parliament of Bangladesh from 1979 to 1988. He was convicted for committing war crimes during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh sentenced him to death in December 2014 for crimes against humanity. His crimes included genocide, mass murder, rape and arson. During the war, he formed a militia group in his name called ''Qaisar Bahini''. Early life and education Qaisar was born on 19 June 1940 in the village of Itakhola under Madhabpur in Habiganj of the then British India (now Bangladesh). His father's name was Syed Sayeduddin and mother was Begum Hamida Banu. Armanitola Government High School
Armanitola Government High School is a secondary school for boys in Armanitola, in the old part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It celebrated its centenary in 2004. History This school was established in 1904 by the British government, as an experimental school of the only teacher training college of East Bengal at that time. The school started at a vast campus with red brick buildings constructed in the British style at a location in front of the Tara Masjid ( Star Mosque), a famous monument of Muslim architecture. Within a few years after its establishment, it drew attention of the city dwellers for its performance in education, sports and culture. The school, however, could not sustain its name and fame during later years, particularly during the Pakistan period. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) is a graduate medical university in Bangladesh. It was established in 1965. The university offers postgraduate degrees only, not offering undergraduate medical or dental degrees. History Establishment of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University was an upgrade of the Institute of Postgraduate Medicine and Research (IPGMR). IPGMR was established in December 1965, as a Government-controlled postgraduate institute for medical research and studies.
