Sydney Dickinson
Sydney Dickinson (17 August 1906 – 2 February 1984) was an English Association football, footballer who played at Midfielder, half-back for Nottingham Forest F.C., Nottingham Forest, Mansfield Town F.C., Mansfield Town, Bradford Park Avenue A.F.C., Bradford Park Avenue, Port Vale F.C., Port Vale, Lincoln City F.C., Lincoln City, and Grantham Town F.C., Grantham. Football historian Jeff Kent described his Sliding tackle, tackling abilities as "tenacious". Career Dickinson played for Dale Rovers, Nottingham Forest F.C., Nottingham Forest, Mansfield Town F.C., Mansfield Town and Bradford Park Avenue A.F.C., Bradford Park Avenue, before being signed to Port Vale F.C., Port Vale in November 1933 for "a substantial fee". Despite scoring goals against Bradford derby, both Bradford clubs at Valley Parade and the Horsfall Stadium, he was only utilized in twelve Football League Second Division, Second Division games before being released from The Old Recreation Ground at the end of 1933 ... Nottingham
Nottingham ( , East Midlands English, locally ) is a city status in the United Kingdom, city and Unitary authorities of England, unitary authority area in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands, England.
