Switzerland competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, from 9 to 25 February 2018, with 166 competitors in 14 sports. Alpine skiing at the 2018 Winter Olympics was held from 12 to 24 February at Yongpyong Alpine Centre (slalom and giant slalom) at the Alpensia Sports Park in PyeongChang and at the Jeongseon Alpine Centre (speed events) in Jeongseon, South Korea. Curling At The 2018 Winter Olympics – Mixed Doubles Tournament
The mixed doubles curling tournament of the 2018 Winter Olympics was held at the Gangneung Curling Centre from 8 to 13 February 2018. Eight nations competed in a round robin preliminary round, and the top four nations at the conclusion of the round robin qualified for the medal round. This was the first time mixed doubles was held at the Winter Olympics. Snowboarding at the 2018 Winter Olympics was held at the Bokwang Phoenix Park in Pyeongchang, South Korea. A total of ten snowboarding events were scheduled to take place between 10 and 24 February 2018. The parallel slalom event, which made its debut four years earlier at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, was dropped from the games in 2018 in favour of a new big air event. Qualification A total of 258 quota spots were available to athletes to compete at the games (142 men and 116 women). The team event competition of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics was held on 24 February 2018 at the Yongpyong Alpine Centre in PyeongChang. Rules This was a parallel slalom competition. There were four members on each team (two males and two females), as well as two reserves. There were four races and the winner of each race scored a point for their team (a tied race awards one point per team). The first race was female against female, race two was male against male, race three was female against female and the last race was male against male. If, after four races, both teams had the same number of points, then the race times of each team's fastest man and woman would be added and the team with the best aggregate time won. Daniel Yule (born 18 February 1993) is a Swiss FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, World Cup Alpine skiing, alpine ski racer and specializes in Slalom skiing, slalom. Born in Martigny, Valais, he is of Scottish people, Scottish parentage. Racing career Yule rose quickly to make his World Cup debut in the 2011–12 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, 2012 season in Hahnenkamm, Kitzbühel, Kitzbühel at the age of 18, he had achieved his first points at the European Cup level just a month earlier.
