Swan Creek is a rural locality in the Southern Downs Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Swan Creek had a population of 161 people. History A creek called ''Swan Creek'' first appears on Buxton's 1864 Darling Downs District Map as part of the Canning Downs pastoral run. By 1883 a smaller pastoral run called ''Swan Creek'' had been split off from Canning Downs. It is presumed that the creek acquired its name from the presence of swans at the creek. Swan Creek Lower State School opened on 20 June 1870. Circa 1887 it was renamed Swan Creek State School. It closed on 12 December 1997. It was at 106 Swan Creek School Road (). On Wednesday 20 August 1873 the Synod of the Anglican Church purchased a site of 3 acres 1 rood (now 435 Stephens Road on the corner of Swan Creek School Road, ) for establishing a church adjacent to the school. The Swan Creek AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in the northwestern portion of North Carolina, in the Piedmont region. The appellation is distinguished by its loamy soil with schist and mica. Established May 27, 2008, it is the second AVA to be established in North Carolina. Saginaw County, officially the County of Saginaw, is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 190,124. The county seat is Saginaw. The county was created by September 10, 1822, and was fully organized on February 9, 1835. The etymology of the county's name is uncertain. Swan Creek is a stream in Osage County in Missouri. It is a tributary of the Gasconade River. The stream headwaters are at and the confluence with the Gasconade is at . The stream source arises on the southeast side of Pea Ridge and Missouri Route U and south of Linn. The stream flows southeast passing under Missouri Route 89 just prior to entering a sharp meander of the Gasconade. The community of Rich Fountain lies to the west of the confluence on Brush Creek. Swan Creek is a stream in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. It is a tributary of the White River downstream from the Lake Taneycomo dam. The stream headwaters are at coordinates: in northwest Douglas County just southwest of the intersection of Missouri Route 14 and Missouri Route AK at an elevation of about 1640 feet. The stream flows generally west passing Ongo and Honey Branch Cave before leaving Douglas County. After entering Christian County just southwest of Ongo, the stream flows southwest past Keltner and then turns south a short distance east of Chadwick.
