Swamp Creek is a tributary of the Sammamish River in Snohomish and King counties, in the U.S. state of Washington. It is also known as ''dxʷɬ(ə)q̓ab'' in Lushootseed, meaning "a wide place". Swamp Creek starts at Lake Stickney near Everett. It ends in Kenmore at the Sammamish River, which then flows into Lake Washington. Kenmore, Washington
Kenmore is a city in King County, Washington, United States, along the northernmost shore of Lake Washington. It is a suburban commuter town at the mouth of the Sammamish River, northeast of downtown Seattle and west of Bothell. The population was 20,460 at the 2010 census. Kenmore Air Harbor is the largest seaplane-only passenger facility of its kind in the United States. Washington State Route 524
State Route 524 (SR 524) is a suburban state highway in the U.S. state of Washington, located entirely within Snohomish County. It begins at in Edmonds and travels east past , (I-5), under , past and to end at in Maltby. The road also has two spur routes, one connecting to SR 104 in Edmonds and another connecting to I-5 in Lynnwood. First appearing on a map in 1895, the highway was designated as part of (SSH 1W) in 1957 during an extension from Edmonds to Lynnwood. SSH 1W was extended further to (present-day SR 527) in 1959 before becoming SR 524 in 1964. A final extension east to SR 522 was completed in 1991. Brier is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is bordered by Mountlake Terrace to the west, Lynnwood to the north, Bothell to the east, and Lake Forest Park to the south. The population was 6,087 at the 2010 census. History The first homestead settlers in the Brier area arrived in 1883 and were followed by loggers who had cleared most of the forestland by 1915. The area was known for its mink farms and later gave way to suburban ranch houses in the 1950s and 1960s. Brier was named for an existing road that bisected the subdivision where the community was developed in the 1950s. Everett is the county seat and largest city of Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is north of Seattle and is one of the main cities in the metropolitan area and the Puget Sound region. Sound Transit (ST), officially the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority, is a public transit agency serving the Seattle metropolitan area in the U.S. state of Washington.
